The candidate will run a backpack blower at commercial shopping centers in order to blow trash, leaves, etc off of sidewalks, out of corners, and other unreachable areas out to a pathway for a sweeper truck to vacuum up said debris for cleaning purposes.
We have up to 12 properties to clean per night. 8 minimum.
Candidate will check trash cans in order to change them at said shopping centers. It is possible to combine trash cans to conserve resources if deemed appropriate.
When finished with the backpack blower and trash cans candidate will take pickers and a bucket and pick islands and grass areas for trash; cigarette butts, chewing gum, paper, and other debris that does not belong there.
Normally, the backpack blower is run daily per contracts. Unfortunately, this is a screen-out requirement. If you have any reason that carrying a backpack blower for up to 8 hrs is not possible, please, do not apply as this is a requirement of the job.
We strive to balance quality with profitability often leaning toward quality more often.
Candidate needs to pass a drug test on a initial basis and then a random basis afterward.
Candidate needs to pass a background check at predefined intervals. Negative background checks does not necessarily preclude you from the job. Will consider on a case by case basis.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license. It is preferred that you have had previous experience running a sweeper truck as this job hopefully will employ someone who can work independently when needed.
Candidate must have a positive attitude and be open minded to learn new things and take positive, constructive feedback. This is a team-based family oriented company, so you must be able to work as a team. No tolerance for drama, unprofessional behavior, drug/alcohol use on the job.
This is a family owned business and at this time no one will be considered as a partner. They are an employee and will work a set amount of hours as agreeable between employer and employee.
This position is third shift. Many people, we have found do not want to work 8 hours night shift. A lot of times this is because they are looking to make extra money in addition to a job they already have. So, if this applies to you, the job can start at 20 hours a week or part time. The potential needed hours are up to 40 hours a week. So, if the candidate chooses part time, we will likely hire another part time.
