Let’s clear the air about price reductions.
They’re showing up more often, and if you’ve been online lately, you’ve probably seen a lot of dramatic “market crash” predictions. Thankfully, that’s not what’s happening.

What we’re really seeing is a market adjusting to buyer behavior. Buyers are more price sensitive right now, and we’ve seen it firsthand across our listings all year. When a home is priced correctly, it sells. When it’s priced too high, the market responds quickly.

This doesn’t mean sellers are in trouble, and it doesn’t mean homeowners should worry about their long-term value. Real estate moves in cycles, and buying and holding continues to outperform sitting on the sidelines in almost every decade.
