The past couple of years I had experienced a lot of changes. One change, as many of you know, is that I became a mom. And with everything that comes with being a mom, the last thing any new parent wants to deal with is the financial part on top of that. Dealing with the physical, mental, and all the other changes that comes with having a newborn, I knew something had to change. I knew that I didn’t want to work for the rest of my life. I knew I wanted to be home with my baby. I mean, what mom wants to have to be limited with her time with her new baby? And I know I am not the only mom who goes through this but for ME, I knew I wanted out. And even before becoming a mom, I knew I wanted more for myself.

That’s why I am happy to say that I have started an online business with the best company. One where I don’t have to leave my baby, my home, or change anything for that matter.

This is something I'm still learning as a momma. You really can't pour into an empty cup. Although, intuitive in nature, it has been a challenge. Mommy guilt is real but it isvery important to take care of yourself as a mom. Even when Cai was first born I was super shy to ask for help and still am but it's something I work towards because I know that if I can't take care of myself, how will I take care of Cai.

These are some things I'm trying to teach Cai so he doesn't grow up to be a picky eater. I know he'll probably not like some things and that's normal, I try to implement these tips so he can grow up with a diverse pallet and a positive relationship with food. This really is important to me especially because he comes from two different cultures and food is one way to learn about each of them. Hope these tips help you, like it has for me!

Today was a little difficult than normal. Today really set in stone why I'm doing this business. This morning I was getting ready to leave and I heard Cai crying. I knew my husband was still asleep so I figured I just go in there to check up on him before I left. Well, that did it for me. I just felt in that moment that I wanted to be home with my little guy. I hate leaving in the mornings. Yes, hate is a strong word, but that's exactly what I felt. Day in and day out, 5 days a week it's the same thing. I'm tired of feeling this way each morning when I have to leave Cai. Moments like these reminds me why I made the decision to make these changes in my life. Because these are the moments you'll never get back.
