Election Day is November 3, and there’s a lot on the ballot this year.

Tri-Counties members, our Local Government Affairs Director, Tim Shaw, breaks down the California Association of REALTORS® positions on the measures that impact real estate:

Prop 37: SUPPORT. Creates a homebuyer loan program to help eligible buyers purchase newly built homes.
Prop 40: OPPOSE. A one time wealth tax on taxpayers with assets above $1 billion.
Prop 43: SUPPORT. Sets a two thirds threshold for voter proposed local special taxes.
Prop 45: SUPPORT. Sets deadlines for environmental reviews and legal challenges so housing projects can keep moving.
