Health is Wealt: Road to Wellness 5K 2026

Unreal energy this past week. Started Labor Day strong with a 10-miler celebrating a 50th birthday, S/O Katonya Burke for curating 10 years of this tradition! Blessed to be out there capturing the journey.

Closed it out with the Road to Wellness 5K alongside my brothers at Black Men Run Boston. Year 3 in the books!

Years ago, while balancing product management, grad school, and non-stop travel, I created my first brand, 3G System Fitness (Go. Get In. Get Out.) because I refused to let a busy schedule derail my health. Hotel gyms, city tracks, park benches, no excuses.

That framework evolved into a life philosophy. It’s no longer about racing everyone else or surviving on limited prep; it’s about longevity, mindset, and stacking that 1% improvement every day.

How I met Mr. Will Mbah

Last September at the UN’s Unstoppable Africa Business Conference, I had a moment with Will Mbah that I’ll never forget.

During the final day at the UN Headquarters, I stepped out to use the bathroom and ran right into Will. He looked at me and asked, “What are you doing?” “Going to the bathroom,” I said. “Planning to head back into the meeting?” “Probably.”

He gave me that look—like “How often are you at UN headquarters?”—and immediately told me to come with him. We grabbed lunch, explored spaces we didn’t have credentials for, and wandered the building.

Watching Will navigate that space gave me a masterclass in leadership: the art of influence, building authentic bridges, and making friends in rooms where you aren’t necessarily expected or welcomed.

That is exactly the type of fearless, bridge-building leader we need representing us as State Representative for the 34th Middlesex District (Somerville & Medford).
