New York Real Property Law section 442-h requires real estate brokers to institute standardized operating procedures for the prerequisites that prospective home buyers must meet prior to receiving any services. RE/MAX Reliance’s standardized office procedures concerning those prerequisites are as follows:


We do not require prospective clients to show identification
We do not require an exclusive buyer broker agreement
We do not require pre-approval for a mortgage loan*
*Although this brokerage does not require any of the above information for prospective home buyers, a seller of real estate may require this information prior to showing the property and/or as part of any purchase offer.
