The Ocean Township Police Department would like to congratulate Ptl. North, Ptl. Rinck, and Ptl. Dellane for being recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for their outstanding commitment to impaired driving enforcement and roadway safety.
Their dedication to proactive DWI enforcement helps make our community safer and demonstrates our department’s commitment to protecting the residents and visitors of Waretown.
While New Jersey experienced an encouraging decline in overall traffic fatalities during 2025, with approximately 582 lives lost on our roadways, impaired driving continues to be a significant factor in fatal crashes throughout the state. State and national data consistently show that alcohol-impaired driving remains one of the leading causes of preventable traffic deaths.
Every DWI arrest represents more than an enforcement action—it may prevent a serious crash, injury, or loss of life. Through proactive patrols, targeted enforcement, and public education, our officers work diligently to remove impaired drivers from our roadways before tragedy occurs.
Please join us in congratulating Ptl. North, Ptl. Rinck, and Ptl. Dellane on this well-deserved recognition and thanking them for their continued efforts to keep Ocean Township’s roads safe for everyone.
