I have been bombarded with post cards, texts, snail mail, and phone calls from so-called investors wanting to buy my personal home and rental properties. All claiming to pay market value. One offered me $88000 for one of my homes with a market value of $250k. There is the problem! They have no idea what market value even means. I shudder to think how many ppl have lost money to these shameless scammers. If u get these offers, don't fall for them. Go to a licensed real estate agency, talk to an agent and get a real comparative market analysis, or cma. The folks making these so- called great offers may take cute pictures of ur house and put them on otherwise plain envelopes to make u think they are professionals, but when they don't even know enough not to call someone on a NO CALL List, nor bother to see if the person they are harassing is real estate agent, that tells me right there that they have not a clue as to what they are doing. The old cliche' You Get What You Pay For, is definitely true here. Work with state licensed professional real estate agents when buying or selling a house and with leasing or renting a house. Don't b taken in by offers of quick money!!
