When the System Fails Your Grandchild — Here's What Happened to Us!

Our grandchild was supposed to be receiving speech therapy and had an IEP plan in place. But instead of working with him or getting him into the programs he was entitled to, the school took the easy way out. Every time he got a little high-strung and needed extra attention, they threw a 6-year-old into ISS. 🤦

Let that sink in — a 6-year-old in ISS. He had no idea what it meant. He thought he was getting a break from class! So instead of getting the help he needed, he ended up OUT of class more than he was IN class. The school was simply pushing him aside instead of doing what they were supposed to do.

So we made the decision to take matters into our own hands — and we started homeschooling. 📚

🏡 I made the decision to relocate to Hawkinsville 20 years ago due to political corruption and embezzlement in my previous county. I sought accountability and a fresh start, highlighting the challenges of corrupt politicians. This move for a new home was driven by a desire for better community engagement and local news, emphasizing the importance of ethical government.

Since we weren't attached to that area anyway, we made the decision to move on and plant our roots somewhere new. That somewhere turned out to be Hawkinsville — and we never looked back. 🙌

Sometimes the best move really IS a move. And now, history seems to be repeating itself in ways the community needs to hear about.
