I’ve never really been a huge Bon Jovi fan… but I am a lifelong Duran Duran fan. Like… especially John Taylor. That was my guy.

So somehow I end up backstage at a Bon Jovi concert thanks to my friend Jill and her connections (clearly not mine l😂).

I’m just standing on the floor in front of Bon Jovi’s stage… and then I see him.

Hair. Rockstar vibe. I immediately think:
OMG that’s John Taylor.

So naturally, I walk right up and ask for a picture like this is totally normal. He’s super nice, we take the pic, and I’m thinking wow… teenage me is thriving right now.

I walk back to my friends all proud and friends were like “I can’t believe you just asked Richie Sambora for a picture like that.”

I’m sorry, what (thinking are you sure it’s not John Taylor)??

I just nodded like “yeah obviously I knew that.”

Never corrected them. Not then, not now 😂

Because in my head…
I met John Taylor and I’m sticking with that story.
