🏡👃 LET’S TALK ABOUT SMELLS WHEN SELLING YOUR HOME!

One thing sellers often overlook when getting their home ready to hit the market is something they may not even notice anymore… the way their home smells!

You may be used to the smell of your pets, cooking, candles, or even cigarette smoke, but potential buyers notice these things the second they walk through the door!

🚫 Some of the biggest turnoffs for buyers:
🐾 Pet odors and litter boxes
🚬 Cigarette or smoke smells
🍳 Lingering cooking odors
🧺 Musty basements and damp smells
🌸 Overpowering candles, plug-ins, and air fresheners

And here’s something important… Trying to cover up an odor with strong fragrances can actually make buyers wonder what you’re hiding!

✨ My advice? Deep clean, wash fabrics, clean carpets, take out the trash, and address the SOURCE of any odors rather than masking them.

The goal isn’t for buyers to walk in and say, “Wow, this house smells like a candle store!”

The goal is for them to walk in and think, “I could see myself living here!” ❤️

🏡 Remember, you only get ONE chance to make a first impression, and sometimes that first impression starts before buyers even see the living room!
