🚧 Working on some clean up today, some bad trees and overgrown brush by some utilities, one lot at a time…on-going progress! Also burning the brush pile after all the rain we got. 🔥🚧 so thankful my husband does the heavy lifting and running the equipment 🙏🏻

It seems like we have a few disgruntled tenants that like to slander Lakewood Park, another tenant, as well as myself all over social media, which is also illegal and can be legally pursued for slander and defamation of character. This is not something I would normally share but I would like to clear the air, so to speak. These individuals are retaliating against me, which is also against the terms of their lease, due to enforcing lot compliance issues with their lot, but the main reason is they have issues with someone telling them they need to follow rules and pay their rent. What they also fail to mention is the lease violations they have been notified several times about and have not complied. They state issues with septic systems, which were also taken care of immediately, these things do happen with older utilities and are addressed as soon as the landlord is aware of the issue. The responsibility of the tenant is from the home to the utilities, if there are issues with that the cost to repair falls on them. Lakewood park is only responsible for the utilities in the ground, unless tampered with or damaged by the renter, not the connections. As the owner, I am allowed to travel and check on lots as I see fit on the roadways and my alleys, I always give notice if there are lot inspections and I would need to enter the yard. If anyone has any questions or concerns they can contact me for a copy of their lease agreement. You do not own the land, I do, and you need to remember to respect that.

Regarding Minnesota State Law in mobile home parks, some tenants have expressed confusion about lot compliance and associated cleanup fees following the 30-day written notice period outlined in their lease agreements. Residents with questions or concerns are encouraged to reach out directly. Publicly criticizing Lakewood Park and specific tenants on social media is considered defamatory. Official information from the Minnesota Attorney General's website will be shared as needed.

‼️Road construction‼️ 🚧 please be mindful of all exits that may be closed temporarily while they are redoing them, I am aware of some of the issues regarding all entrances closed at the same time and they are not supposed to be. Just use common sense and wait until they level out the intersection, they are not liable for damages to vehicles if you choose to drive over a visible area that may be blocked off temporarily. I know it’s frustrating and I share your concern as I have to navigate the same path daily. They should have someone directing the traffic flow for all citizens that live on the ridge and in the construction zones. The MN State Highway Department is aware of these concerns.

The main entrance adjacent to the office is currently closed due to construction on the approach. Please exercise caution regarding construction equipment and road closures, and utilize alternate routes such as Lake Town Hall Road to 350th Street. We anticipate a prolonged period of disruption and recommend allowing additional time to reach your destinations.
