Have to give a shout out to the people that made this happen.
First and foremost, my parents! They were right next to us every step of the way. They gave advice, free labor, encouragement, taxied our children around, watched the kids, made and fed us meals, cleaned up after us. I called, they were there. This rehab would’ve taken us 3x longer if it wasn’t for them.
Second, my best friend Jessica Merrill and my neighbor, Anita Peck who stopped in often to see the progress and to give their support until the bitter end.
The many people we worked with:
Montgomery's Building Supply and Andrew who made life easier on us having supplies delivered and not having to drive to Batavia for reasonably priced materials.
P&S Mechanical, Phil Sr. and JR for all the plumbing and HVAC. Phil is very educated and was quick to give advice and assistance. He was also a lot of fun to work with!
Silver Lake Mechanicals James and Dean for electrical. They knew their stuff and were quick and efficient. Plus it was sooo nice to be able to work in the light!
Alex O’Connor and his team made the biggest difference in this house. He had his work cut out for him. The plaster was a mess, the ceilings are 10 foot tall, the house is completely un-square and yet he managed to make it look absolutely perfect. He works hard and meticulously and we are grateful we used him!
*Ak Kitchen & Bath who sold us our beautiful midnight blue kitchen cabinetry. They also helped to find the perfect countertops and installed them to fit like a glove using new technology.
*Owen Beck Realtor is a fantastic realtor and is so easy to work with. His work will speak for itself as the listing is released.
Lastly, my family❤️
I am so blessed to be able to work next to my husband. He is so talented in all that he does. We compliment each other in so many ways. He said early on that this house would either end up in us getting divorced or us becoming closer. The latter is 100 percent the case.
My kids… well they are simply the best. They helped out when possible and they were always interested in what was happening. They looked so proud at the end and that alone made it worth every difficult moment!
