Different continent. Same clear view.



This summer, my children and I stayed in South Africa—and I was still able to oversee my 12 doors back home.

Happy Labor Day!!!

So what did I do with my freedom? I hopped in the car and drove to Richmond to do something I absolutely LOVE — THRIFTING! 🛍️🪞🖼️

My cousin gave me some great suggestions, and I told her I had two requirements: I wanted to thrift, and I wanted to eat at a Black-owned restaurant. 😂

First stop: Diversity Thrift. Great spot with lots of good finds, but I wasn’t looking for clothes because Lord knows I DO NOT need another piece of clothing. 🤦🏾‍♀️😂 I was looking for vintage pieces, décor, art, and those one-of-a-kind treasures.

Then I went to Class and Trash and… OH. MY. GOD. 😍

THIS was my kind of place!

If you know me, you know I absolutely LOVE vintage pieces. I found some GREAT items and literally stayed until they CLOSED. 😂

My boss even suggested that I spend the night in Richmond, but absolutely not! 😂 I’ve been on the road for more than three months, and I wanted MY BED.

So before heading home, I stopped at Shrimps for some delicious food, supported a Black-owned restaurant, and got back on the road.

It was such a GREAT day off. ❤️

I really think my boss should give me more of these. I might be a much better employee if he did. 😂😂😂
