Beekman Free-Cycle, Bulk Trash & Hazardous Waste Updates
Beekman Place Free-Cycle Event
Drop-off starts Monday, October 15th
Wednesday, October 17th (8am) - Monday, October 22nd(8am)
You are invited to participate in Beekman Place’s first “Free-Cycle Event”! This is a great opportunity to donate to a new home such quality items as you’re willing to part with and keep them out of landfills. This is also your opportunity to choose any items that have been donated to take home for your own use.
On Monday October 15th at 8:00am Beekman residents may drop-off small items at the Gatehouse. You may arrange to drop-off larger items by speaking with Sam or Jose.
On Wednesday October 17th residents are encouraged to stop by Garage #10 (in the middle of Florida Row) and drop off additional goods they no longer need or want to keep. While you’re there, look around for items you want to take home – all for free!
All donated items must be clean and in working condition. Types of acceptable items include:
- Clothing
- Books (hard-back or paper-back)
- Toys
- Electronics
- Small (only) tools and appliances
- Small (only) furniture and/or lighting (end tables, bedside / desk lamps, etc.)
There will be tables and shelving set up in Garage #14. Please place your donated items in an available place.
Please do not donate:
- Broken, non-working, or dirty items
- Large appliances
- Mattresses
For your non-appropriate donation items, we will have a bulk trash drop-off spot set up as well (see details following this announcement). All donated “Free-Cycle” items that have not found a new home by 8:00 am Monday, October 22nd will be disposed of, either by donation to a charitable organization / group or in the bulk trash pickup.
We hope you will enjoy participating in the Free-Cycle Event!
