This week we’re shining a spotlight on Red Bear Brewing Co. — D.C.’s only 100% q***r-owned and operated brewery and kitchen, located in the vibrant NoMa neighborhood. For this week’s Pride Month spotlight, we’re highlighting another wonderful bookstore, Little District Books in Washington, DC — a proud q***r-owned independent bookstore located in historic Capitol Hill.

Founded by Patrick Hudson, Little District Books opened its doors with a beautiful and intentional concept: a space where you never have to search for the LGBTQ+ section because the entire store is dedicated to q***r authors, stories, and identities. Celebrating the full spectrum of the community, Patrick created this neighborhood gem to uplift indie publishers, celebrate trans liberation, and expand local access to q***r literature all year round.

Packing to move can be stressful, but staying organized and having a method can alleviate that stress! As someone who has moved several times, I've developed a method for packing.

Start by making an organized list of everything you're bringing to your new home. As you pack, keep like items in the same box to avoid confusion as to where something is. Be sure to label your boxes for more efficient unpacking later. Finally, keep in mind the size of your transportation, whether you have a car or a U-Haul, you want to make sure everything will fit!🚗
