!!!! - FAQ: What does it take to be successful in real estate?
I always say if I only knew then what I know now… You must know the market you are servicing inside out. You have to study it and keep up with all the new developments, projects, and changes.
You are the expert and clients are counting on you to educate them. You must have a mentor to lean on. The guidance of someone who has been there, done that is imperative. You must be willing to change with the market.
The real estate market is ever-changing. Sometimes it’s a seller’s market and shifts to a buyers market, you must know the winning strategies for your clients as these changes happen.
You must keep in touch with your clients after the deal is done. This business is referral-based. If you maintain your relationships beyond the closing table and communicate with past clients consistently, the referrals will keep coming.
You must identify your strengths and weaknesses. If you are better at closing the deal than keeping up with paperwork, then you will need a partner or assistant to focus on your weak spots. Lastly, Network, Networth, Network!
The more people who know and love you, the more referrals will come your way!
