City admin updates are rarely fun, but keeping your rental compliant is everything. DLCP officially retired its old licensing portal and rolled out a brand-new system called BOSS (Business One Stop Solution).

If you haven't checked on your rental's Basic Business License (BBL) lately, here is what you need to know:

• Manual setup required: Existing BBL records don't automatically transfer over. You’ll need to log into BOSS and claim your property to link it to your account.
• New expiration math: BBLs now run through the absolute last calendar day of your issuance month.
• Easier edits: You can finally update contact info and address details directly in the portal mid-cycle.

A lapsed BBL in the District brings instant penalty fees and compliance headaches. Taking five minutes to log in and claim your license today saves lots of stress later.

A few moments from Sunday morning's food drive for SOME (So Others Might Eat) on the Nest porch. 🧺

For us, giving back is about simply showing up. Being present in our neighborhood and creating an easy way for folks to plug in and do a little good.

Huge shoutout to our Nesters for running the drive on their Sunday morning, and big love to our DC neighbors who dropped off donations to help stock shelves for folks in need. Always a good time when we come together for the neighborhood. 🫶
