American Coatings Association The American Coatings Association represents both companies and employees of the coatings industry.

The American Coatings Association (ACA) is a nonprofit trade association representing both companies and professionals in the paint and coatings industry. The organization was founded on Sept. 11, 1887 as the National Paint, Oil and Varnish Association. Since then, the organization has had several names: the National Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Association (1933), National Paint and Coatings Association (1971), and, most recently, the American Coatings Association (2010). The 2027 CoatingsTech Conference, which will be held March 15-18 at the Loews Hotel in Kansas City, will follow the theme, “The Power of Coatings: Advancing Sustainability & Quality of Life Through Innovation.”

The CoatingsTech Conference offers experts from industry, academia, and government a platform for sharing the industry’s latest technological research and developments, and features a multi-track forum, industry awards, and presentation opportunities for both industry professionals and students.
