Happy 16th Anniversary to us 🤍

16 years married.
18 years committed.
Over 20 years of knowing each other… and still choosing each other.

I can say with full confidence, God handpicked this man for me.

And if I’m being real, this past year and a half has been one of the hardest seasons we’ve ever walked through. Not just for me personally, but for us. It’s been heavy. It’s stretched us. It’s tested us.

But here we are.

Not because everything has been easy, but because God has been faithful.

, you’ve been steady when I’ve felt shaky. You’ve been strong when I’ve felt weak. You’ve carried more than most people will ever see, and you’ve done it with love.

I’m not perfect, and neither are you, but together, we have a perfectly imperfect love. And somehow, that’s exactly what we’ve needed.

And what I love most is that you don’t try to be the source. You always point me back to THE SOURCE. Back to God. Back to the Rock that holds us both together when life feels like it’s slipping through our hands.

2026 marks the start of my 5th year on DCAR’s Public Policy Committee — and I don’t take that lightly.

Over the years, we’ve dug into DC’s annual budgets, educated ourselves on the issues that matter, lobbied our elected officials, and advocated fiercely for fairness in housing rights, laws, services, and funding for ALL DC residents.

This committee is made up of real estate professionals who genuinely care about the future of this city — and that energy keeps me coming back. Life threw a lot at me last year and I missed more meetings than I would have liked, so it felt really good to walk in today and see so many familiar faces. We’ve made real progress, but there’s still work to do, and I’m here for it.
