🔹 **Guaranteed Investment Returns:** Criminals promise to turn political contributions into profits. Remember, political donations are NOT investments!

🔹 **Fake Campaign Merchandise:** Fraudulent websites take your money for political products that never arrive.

🔹 **Voter Registration Texts and Emails:** Messages claim you aren't registered and direct you to fake websites designed to steal your personal information.

✅ Never click suspicious links in unsolicited texts or emails.
✅ Verify political organizations before donating.
✅ Check your voter registration through official government resources.

Open enrollment is a time to review your health coverage—but scammers are ready to take advantage.

The FTC warns that fake websites, misleading online ads, and look-alike government websites can trick you into buying a plan that isn't real or sharing sensitive personal information.

**Protect yourself with these simple steps:**

✅ Go directly to Medicare.gov or HealthCare.gov instead of clicking unfamiliar ads.

✅ Look for the “Ad” or “Sponsored” label in search results.

✅ Verify a website ends in .gov before sharing personal information.

✅ Take your time. Never let anyone pressure you into making a quick decision.

✅ Get help comparing plans from a trusted, official source.

🚨 **SCAM ALERT: “SOMEONE TRIED TO OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT IN YOUR NAME!”**

You receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from your bank. They say someone tried to open an account using your identity.

They sound professional. They may even know your personal information.

Then they offer to “protect” your money or identity—but first, they need you to verify information, provide a security code, or move your money.

**STOP! This could be a scam.**

🚩 They ask for your password or verification code.
🚩 They tell you to transfer money to a “safe” account.
🚩 They pressure you to act immediately.
🚩 They tell you not to speak with anyone else.

🛑 **HANG UP.**
📞 **CALL YOUR BANK** using the number on your bank card or official statement.
🔎 **VERIFY** whether an account or application actually exists.

**Remember: Your bank will never need you to transfer money to a “safe account” to protect it.**
