A buddy of mine, a tiler out in Baltimore, sent me this. A contractor finishes the job, doesn't get paid, gets mad, and destroys all his own work. And my guy is going through the same thing right now, so he's fired up.

Here's the truth. The second that tile is set, it stops being his. The law calls it a fixture, and it becomes part of the house. He can take any loose material he never installed, but he cannot rip out what's already in. Do that and now he's the one who destroyed property.
