News flash! We have fall openings at BOTH cabins through November!

Fall on the island is different than the busy summer months: cooler days and nights, leaves are falling - maybe even some snow falling as well, and a slower pace - if that’s even possible at this sanctuary!

New ferry winter schedule starts today. Only 4 boats a day.

And don't forget to make a reservation to bring a car over in the winter.

The Washington Island Ferry is a vital, year-round mode of transportation, crossing Death’s Door passage on the way to the island.
