Washington Township, May 20,2024 - John Chaplin, a long-time resident and small business owner of Washington Township, proudly announces his candidacy for Washington Township Trustee. With a lifetime love for the township and a dedication to serving the community, Chaplin brings a wealth of experience in business management, community service, and a vision for thoughtful growth to the table.
In his candidacy statement, Chaplin emphasizes his commitment to preserving the unique rural character of Washington Township while supporting balanced development and consistent building code enforcement. He aims to foster cooperation with neighboring communities such as Bruce Township and Romeo, believing in the strength of unity over division.
"As a small business owner with a background in technology and property development, I understand the importance of responsible growth," says Chaplin. "My goal as a trustee will be to ensure that new developments align with the desires of our residents and contribute positively to our community without sacrificing our township's identity."
