Ford S. Worthy, Jr., owned a condo at Washington Harbour for many years and, although he lived in Raleigh, he was a native of Washington and maintained relationships with many friends at Washington Harbour and elsewhere in town. His daughter Marty continues to visit Washington Harbour on a regular basis.

At the end of WWII, Ford encountered a 10-year-old boy that he never forgot. His son Ford S. Worthy has just written a book – a true story about how, nearly 80 years later, he set out to find what became of the boy as gift to his Father for his 100th birthday . The name of the book is In Search of a Boy Named Chester and you can learn more about it at www.insearchofchester.com. The Raleigh News & Observer published a long, front-page article on the story about a year ago.
