Franklin County Planning & Zoning has been informed of a recent scam. Emails are being sent to previous applicants from someone claiming to be a representative of Planning & Zoning and also demanding payment for additional fees.

Planning and Zoning is reporting there has been no breach to the record system. The emails appear to have information pulled from public sources, such as legal notices and meeting agendas.

If you had a recent application and have received an email of this kind, please be aware that they never require payments to be submitted through a website or wire transfer. They never ask for gift cards or other payment methods. All payments are accepted in person or by phone call. If you have concerns about the validity of any emails or phone calls, especially those requesting that fees be paid, please reach out to the Planning and Zoning office directly to verify the information: (636) 583-6369.
