Some closings are special, and then there are closings like today’s. ❤️

Helping my sister and brother-in-law sell their home and purchase a new one was truly an honor. Being trusted not only as their Realtor, but as family, means more to me than I can put into words.

Today marks the end of one chapter filled with so many cherished memories and the beginning of a brand-new one. While there will always be a special place in our hearts for the home they’re leaving behind, I’m so excited for all the memories their family will create in their new home.

A huge congratulations to them on both the successful sale of their home and the purchase of the next place they’ll call home!

Thank you to Maggie for being such a wonderful partner throughout the process, Jason Emerson for taking great care of everyone on the lending side, and Gina at TrueTitle for making closing day seamless.

One thing that made today even more memorable was getting the opportunity to meet the other agent and spend time getting to know the family who previously owned the home. It’s not every day you get to hear the stories and memories that made a house so special before it becomes someone else’s home.

Days like today remind me why I love what I do. Congratulations to my sister, brother-in-law, and their family—I am so happy for you and can’t wait to see all the wonderful memories you’ll make in your new home! 🏡❤️

Scams don’t discriminate by zip code. This is important information for everyone and worth a quick read and share.

‼️ SHARK IN LION’S LAKE ‼️

Now that we have your attention, we would like to share some Friday Fraud Facts.

We couldn’t help but notice that when we make a post about a runaway piglet being captured by our officers, the post almost goes viral. However, when we post information aimed at preventing people from losing their life savings, the posts don’t receive nearly as much attention.

So, we’ll keep it short and sweet this week.

People in Washington are still falling victim to scams and reporting them to WPD almost daily.

For those wondering:
• Elon Musk is NOT going to contact you with an investment opportunity. That is a “pig butchering” scam.
• Reba McEntire is NOT going to begin an online romantic relationship with you and ask for money. That is a romance scam.
• NO law enforcement agency, bank, or official institution will EVER call and tell you your information has been compromised and demand payment through gift cards, Bitcoin, or cryptocurrency to “fix” the issue.

Yes, every one of these scams has happened right here in Washington. Please be careful. We truly care about this community and hate seeing our citizens lose their hard-earned money to scams that are so preventable.

When in doubt, slow down, talk to a trusted family member, and contact WPD before sending money.
