Some homes are easy to fall in love with because they’re beautiful.

Others are easy to fall in love with because you can feel how deeply they’ve been cared for the moment you walk through the door.

This one was both.

I’m so incredibly happy for my seller. She poured so much time, hard work, and love into preparing this home for its next chapter. Stressing over rates?

I get it. Nobody likes seeing a number that starts with a 6 when they were hoping for a 3. 😅

But here’s my Realtor thought of the day:

If you’re renting, you’re already paying an interest rate.

It’s just not yours.

Every month, you’re helping someone else pay down their mortgage, build equity, and work toward their goals.

Meanwhile, people are over here losing sleep over a rate difference that’s about the same as their late-night Amazon cart, three coffee runs a week, or that Target trip where they “only needed one thing.” 👀

I’m not saying buy a house you can’t afford.

I’m saying don’t let waiting for perfection keep you from building wealth in the meantime.

Rates change.
You can refinance.

The house that checked all your boxes and sold while you were waiting? Not so much. 🏡

Sometimes “homeownership” doesn’t come with a front door.

Sometimes it starts with a patch of grass, a dream, and a whole lot of excitement. 💛

A few weeks ago, Courtney closed on her very first real estate purchase—this lot right here in her own neighborhood.

From the very beginning, she had a vision. Not just to buy land, but to create something from it. This lot is the future home of a duplex and the first step toward goals she’s been working hard to achieve.

One of my favorite things about real estate is that every transaction tells a different story. Some people are buying their forever home. Some are downsizing. And some are standing in an empty lot, seeing possibilities that nobody else can see yet.

Congratulations, Courtney. Thank you for trusting me to be part of such a big milestone. I can’t wait to watch your vision come to life. ✨

Some closings are special because of the house.

Some are special because of the people.

This one was definitely the second.

I’ve known Joseph since he was basically a brand-new baby adult trying to figure out life, and getting to watch him grow into the man standing here today has been pretty incredible. Watching someone work hard, stay the course, and build a life they can be proud of is one of those things that never gets old.

When he asked me to help him navigate the purchase of his first home, I was honored. Not because it was a transaction, but because it was another chapter in a story I’ve had the privilege of watching unfold for years.

And then closing day happened.

Joseph and I pulled into the parking lot at Stewart Title and found his parents waiting for us. They had driven six hours just to watch their boy sign his closing documents.

I’ll be honest—I got a little emotional.

As a realtor, I get to witness some really beautiful moments. But getting to watch proud parents celebrate a milestone like this with their son? That’s the kind of thing that sticks with you.

Joseph, I couldn’t be more proud of you. This home is so well deserved, and I am incredibly grateful that you trusted me to walk beside you through this season of your life.

Congratulations, my friend. ❤️

People see photos like this.

The smiles.
The excitement.
The new house.
The happy ending.

What they don’t see is everything that came before it.

The houses toured.

The conversations.

The moments of excitement and the moments of disappointment.

The questions, the uncertainty, the problem-solving, and the countless calls, texts, and emails that happen long before anyone reaches a closing table.

They don’t see the 5 a.m. mornings.

The weekends worked.

The vacations where your phone is never really off.

The moments you step away from dinner, family, or whatever else life has going on because someone needs guidance, reassurance, or simply a reminder that everything is going to be okay.

They don’t see the days you show up tired.

Or sick.

Or carrying your own challenges while helping someone navigate theirs.

Because photos like this aren’t the story.

They’re the final page.

The story is everything that came before it.

The trust.

The perseverance.

The relationship.

The journey.

And while there are certainly easier ways to spend your time, I can’t think of many more rewarding than getting to witness moments like this.

To walk beside people during such an important chapter of their lives.

To celebrate their wins as if they were your own.

And to be reminded, over and over again, that all of the early mornings, late nights, and hard work are worth it.
