So the metal detecting day held by Walking Humbly Outdoor Adventures
With the assistance of some amazing volunteers and Aquaterra Elite Detectors we were able to host an amazing event with so many kids and their parents, grandparents and guardians.

Thank you to everyone that helped and participated.

This type of note from a sweet family is exactly why we do what we do

Youth pond will be open this weekend as it is free fish weekend in KY.

Go wet a line and reel in some memories!!!!

Walking Humbly Outdoor Adventures

We are opening our youth-only fishing pond to the public on the second and last Saturday and Sunday of each month. (We will post if there is an event and the pond is closed)

Rules for fishing at the Walking Humbly Outdoor Adventures youth-only pond:

* Fishing is from 8am until dark.
* All fish are catch and release.
* Youth only (18 and under).
* All children under 16 must have a guardian present; they cannot be dropped off.
* Adults caught fishing will be escorted off the property.(Yes you can cast and help your small child )
* Park on the gravel near the campers and warehouse; do not drive in the grass.
* Fish only in the large pond and do not leave the pond's perimeter, as this is private property.
* Clean up all trash.
* No drinking, drugs, or ni****ne allowed on the property.
* No cursing or foul language.
* Absolutely no swimming.
* No pets allowed, and do not harass the animals on the property.
* You fish at your own risk; there is no lifeguard on duty.
* This is a privately owned pond and is not funded by the state; therefore, it is private property, and we are opening it to those willing to follow the rules and behave accordingly.

Please do not ruin this for others by disobeying the rules. David Lusk was kind enough to build this pond, and I have had help stocking it with adult fish, as well as purchased fish.

For those who want to help, we will be looking to install a concrete area for children in wheelchairs to make it easier for them to fish.

We want to add a small, fishing-themed blessing box where people can donate fishing equipment (new and used) so that all children have an opportunity to fish.So we are looking for a very small storage building or something of that nature just big enough to hold 20 or so fishing poles etc.

We would also love for folks that have old benches or outdoor furniture that is not being used that could be set around the pond for folks to sit in.

If you have a pond overstocked with bluegill and bass and would like to catch and release them in the youth pond, that is always a great help.

We need to make and place some fish structures in the pond.

The pond is located at 15030 State Route 45 South, Water Valley, KY 42085. It is stocked with bass, catfish, and bluegill.
