Around here, “work hard, play hard” isn’t just a saying — John pretty much turned it into a scheduling system.

Well, we can finally put those water hoses down!

Our garden club members want to send a big, heartfelt THANK YOU to the folks who made the new sprinkler system at The Civic possible: Charmie and Barry Weeks, James McCormick, Mario Singleton, The Water Valley Town & Country Garden Club, Brandon and Katelyn Presley, BankFirst Financial Services, FNB and Terry Allen.

If you've ever spent a Mississippi June, July, or August dragging hoses around in the heat, you know this project is nothing short of a blessing. Our flowers and plants will be happier, and truth be told, so will the volunteers who won't have to wrestle hoses around the property several times a week anymore!

A special thank you goes to Project Chairman Katelyn Presley. Katelyn saw a need, rolled up her sleeves, and helped make this project happen. Her hard work, persistence, and dedication to The Civic and our community are greatly appreciated.

Small towns are built on people who step up when something needs doing, and this project is a perfect example. Because of your generosity, The Civic will continue to be a beautiful place for gatherings, celebrations, and community events for years to come.
