Do all these house-fliping shows have you convinced that you need to invest a fortune before you can sell your home? Your house does not need to look like it's straight out of a magazine for buyers to be interested. Buyers want to add their own finishing touches so while having your home looking fresh and making necessary improvements is certainly valuable, there's no need to go overboard and change your whole floorplan just to get an offer. We'll leave that stuff to Chip and Joanna.

What matters when you're trying to sell your home? For starters, curb appeal always matters to buyers. Deciding on upgrades like a new door color, fresh shutters, or even larger investments like building a front deck or planting some flowering trees can make a big change to your home.
