Thank you to everyone who attended our first session of the YOUR HEALTH Speaker Series presented by healthcare professionals from Deaconess Illinois Clinic.

Amy Zeller, Physician Assistant, shared what providers want you to know about memory loss and dementia. She walked us through the differences and characteristics, while educating us on the screenings and other resources available.

Join us for our next session on Wednesday, 10/14, as we learn about the health changes after 65 that your provider WANTS to know about. Shanna Witges, Nurse Practitioner will be our presenter for this very informative session.

Happy National COFFEE WITH A COP day to the best and our most favorite departments… Monroe County Sheriff's Department and Waterloo Illinois Police Department.

THANK YOU for being our guests and sharing a delicious breakfast of biscuits and gravy, egg casserole, bacon, sausage, eggs, and toast… and the donuts, well… they were just for decoration! 😎

We loved hearing the stories and conversations… an officer met a resident he would cut grass for when he was a teenager. Another couple of residents shared how they worked for the departments back in the day. Generations sharing stories was simply beautiful.

Let’s do it again next year! In the meantime, stop by whenever you like! Our home is yours.

A new record 🎉was set in our Words in Word game. The word was “Biodegradabilities” our residents 🤔came up with 310 words before we had to call it quits. Congratulations! The aroma from our apple fritter bread had our basement smelling wonderful. Hot apples 🍏 and cinnamon baking had everyone’s mouth watering. It didn’t take long for it to eaten this morning. Delicious 😋
