Monday was a beautiful day for a scenic drive to Chester,IL for to see than drive over the Don Wedge Bridge, experiencing the size and structure of the new bridge. We stopped off at Fort Kaskaskia to view the Mississippi River from the scenic lookout and drove by the Pierre Menard State Home site. Afternoon blessed with Cherry & Jerry preforming dedicating their performance to the late Gene Haller, one of their biggest fans. Truly touched by your authenticity.

Tuesday celebrating 🎉 our August birthdays 🎈 🎂. A special little guest, Rhylen joined us to celebrate his First birthday adding extra joy and smiles our community. He wasn’t sure if he liked the smash cake icing on his hands, but enjoyed crawling around showing off his cute dimple smile revealing his teeth.

Looking back over the last week Music filling the air🎶Brad Cook playing old tunes to sing along with, an evening of back patio talk, s’more making, and fresh squeezed lemonade. Chair exercising concluding with creamy lemonade smoothies.

Biscuits, Gravy & Community ❤️

What a wonderful turnout for Garden Place’s Biscuits & Gravy Fundraiser supporting the Waterloo Senior Center!

We had the pleasure of serving so many of our friends and neighbors, both through the drive-thru and dining in. But the very best part? This amazing community helped us raise over $800 for the Waterloo Senior Center! 🎉

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support us, our wonderful staff who helped make the event possible, and all of our friends and neighbors who continue to support the Waterloo community.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Today was a wonderful success because of YOU!❤️🙌🏻. Thanks Waterloo!

Enjoyable time mixing up and baking Lemon and Orange Creamsicle cookies. They didn’t last long after they came out of the oven.
