Advocacy in action! 🇺🇸

Members of the NESD Association of REALTORS®️ joined fellow South Dakota REALTORS®️ in Washington, D.C., to meet with South Dakota legislators and discuss several important issues impacting property rights, homeownership, and the real estate industry.

These conversations help ensure that the voices of REALTORS®️ and the communities we serve are heard at every level of government. We wrapped up the day by attending the Region 8 Caucus Meeting, collaborating with REALTOR®️ leaders from across the region and sharing ideas that strengthen our profession.

Thank you to everyone who continues to advocate for homeowners, property rights, and the future of real estate in South Dakota!

NESD Association is proud to be attending the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings (RLM), where Tuesday was packed with valuable learning and collaboration opportunities.

Our members gained insights into the rapidly evolving worlds of Artificial Intelligence and FinTech, while also hearing from NAR Chief Economist Dr. Lawrence Yun on the latest economic trends impacting the real estate industry.

NESD President Morgan Nelson and President-Elect Ann Schmidt represented our association well, working alongside fellow state board leaders during a collaborative roundtable session focused on advancing the REALTOR® profession and strengthening associations across the country.

We're grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and bring new ideas back to serve our members and communities.

Yesterday was a great day at the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings (RLM) in Washington, DC!

We were honored to hear from a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, Doris Kearns Goodwin, who shared valuable insights on our nation’s history and future. We also had the opportunity to hear from NAR President Kevin Brown, who spoke about the importance of REALTOR® advocacy and leadership across the country.

To top off an incredible day, South Dakota was recognized at the RPAC Hall of Fame Induction Cermony by receiving the prestigious President’s Cup Award! This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of REALTORS® across our state who continue to support RPAC and protect private property rights.

Congratulations to all who helped make this recognition possible. South Dakota REALTORS® continue to make a difference at the local, state, and national levels!

I’d like to take a moment to share that some NESD Board of Directors are attending the REALTORS® Legislative Meetings in Washington, DC this week alongside thousands of REALTORS® from across the country.

This event provides an opportunity to meet with lawmakers, learn about key legislative issues affecting real estate, private property rights, and homeownership, and bring valuable information back to our members and communities. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, REALTORS® continue to be a strong voice for consumers and the real estate industry.

We look forward to bringing back new ideas, resources, and insights that will benefit the members of the NESD Association of REALTORS® and the communities we serve.

A huge thank you to our REALTOR®️ volunteers who spent part of their day helping clean up around beautiful Lake Kampeska! 🌳

Today was a great reminder that REALTORS®️are invested in the communities we serve. By volunteering our time and working together to keep our local parks and lake areas clean, we are helping preserve the places that make our community such a wonderful place to live, work, and play.

Thank you to everyone who participated today. Your willingness to serve and support our community makes a difference, and together we are helping keep Watertown and Lake Kampeska beautiful for generations to come! 💙

NAR data shows that April’s pending home sales rose 1.4% from last month and increased 3.2% from a year ago. The South lead annual gains at 4.7% with the index at 74.8.
