When is it better to stay in a hotel or an Airbnb?

My thoughts are in my latest blog linked in my profile. Would love to know how you decide.

I often stay in Airbnb’s when I travel, but sometimes a hotel is a better option. Because we all have limited time to plan our trips, these are the guidelines I use to choose where to search and where to book.

Less than 4 hours from Athens, here is an easy weekend trip to escape the local heat we will be enduring over the next two months. It was in the 60's and 70's this past week! We have started to Airbnb our family shared mountain house in North Carolina. Ask any realtor you know, they’ll tell you that the key to getting a house under contract is to head out of town. 🏡 Got to enjoy this view as I negotiated for my clients and proved this rule once again.

Truly a wonderful week to recharge with friends and family, games and puzzles, hikes to waterfalls with a slight chill in the air, great food, and of course lots of time to read.

We actually have started Airbnbing this house in North Carolina – I’ll be sharing more about that soon if you’re looking for a beautiful getaway and an escape from the heat. (Seriously it’s been in the 60’s and 70’s) We let friends book directly through us to avoid lots of fees and have some flexibility on the cleaning fee as well so DM me if you want some more info.
