I-80 WEST NOW IMPASSABLE from Jordan Creek Parkway to the Avoca exit. Authorities are in the process of closing IA 415 across the Mile Long Bridge over Saylorville Lake due to winds/very low visibility. Do not attempt to use these roadways where multiple crashes are reported.

Good morning, everyone! Waukee and much of central Iowa experienced freezing rain overnight, and road conditions are still rough in many areas. Crews are working hard to clear and treat the roads, but we recommend staying home if you can for your safety.

If you must go out, please use extreme caution, allow extra travel time, and keep a safe distance from other vehicles. Let’s all do our part to stay safe and avoid accidents.

And here's another update on roads from the Iowa DOT as of 7 am. Conditions in some areas are still getting worse. Stay home if you can until conditions improve.
