💐 Let’s talk staging and decor. 💐
One of my favorite things about selling real estate is staging listings. I LOVE seeing a property transform into a neutral model home type space.
Let’s talk “VIGNETTES”. In relation to interior design, a vignette is defined as: “A small, intentionally arranged grouping of decorative objects (like vases, books, and candles) on a tabletop or shelf that creates an aesthetically pleasing focal point.”
I learned in a real estate class years ago that placing objects in varying height in groups of 3 or 5 is ideal. It’s helped me tremendously! This is my home decor so it’s got some “Monica touch” to it, but you get the point.
Decluttering. If it’s smaller than your fist, remove it! Thats what we call a knickknack. Who wants to dust those anyways?! Get rid of your collections. Your thimble, record and doll collection are cool and all but you want a buyer to focus on your house not your stuff.
Don’t skip the closets. Remove half of the stuff in your closets. It makes the home appeared better organized and better maintained so a buyer may feel better waiving an inspection potentially saving you thousands. Ding Ding Ding
Your great grand uncles portrait gives them the creeps. Put it away. You’ve gotta pack anyways. Depersonalizing so a buyer can envision themselves in your home is so important!
I’m happy to guide my sellers as to what should stay and what should go. Staging consultation and polite staging is always included when you list with me!
