Wauwatosa recently sent out new city-wide property tax assessments and residents have a lot of questions.
The great news is that the Wauwatosa real estate market remains extremely strong, and values have increased significantly.
The even better new, because this is a city-wide evaluation, even if your assessment went up over $100,000 (most did) it doesn't mean that you will have a crippling new tax bill. The mil rate, or the the percent applied to the assessed value to determine your property tax will be adjusted significantly downward.

Another success story! Congratulations to our seller on the successful sale of their condo. We priced it at $115,000 which is the most a 2 bedroom unit in this complex has ever sold for. Sold for $20k over list! Wendy and Jay were our dream sellers. They called us last year to walk through and let them know what updates would bring the most value when they went to list. They did EVERYTHING on the list! Before updates, we would have listed the house at about $250,000. They spent around $25-35,000. We listed the home at $329,900 and it sold for $350,000.

Doing the math, that an extra $65-85K for our sellers.
