Open floor plans have been the gold standard in home design for decades. Buyers loved the bright, open feeling and the ability to entertain while cooking in the kitchen.
But lately I’ve been noticing something interesting… some buyers are starting to ask for a little more separation in their homes. With an open kitchen you get all the smells from cooking, plus everyone sees the mess you make. Defined spaces are what buyers who have lived this are asking for. Of course there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It really comes down to your lifestyle and how you use your space.
So now I’m curious…
Are you team open floor plan, or do you prefer homes with more defined rooms?
