Oak Haven Residents- if youโd like to be apart of the recovery feel free to drop items off at our office and we will deliver them to the Fire Dept in a few days!
Waveland is starting immediately to collect supplies to deliver to Erwin, Tennessee. Erwin is a small town of 6,000 residents that was hit hard by flooding from Hurricane Helene. As we know, the small towns can frequently get lost in the mix. Erwin was suggested by a resident of Waveland that has family living there.
As a preliminary list, we are collecting bottled water, non-perishable food items, diapers, baby formula, cleaning supplies, towels, toiletries, paper goods, pet food, OTC pain relief, small first aid kits and those items that we needed after Katrina. Some ask about gift cards, but there may not be a location close to redeem gift cards at this time. Bottled water and non-perishable food items are top on the list
The Waveland Fire Department on Hwy 90 will be the drop off location.
After 90% of Waveland was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina, it is our turn to "pay it forward" again.
Please reach deep and act now. We need to get a truck on the road to Erwin as soon as possible.
Thank you for considering others in need! We've been there!
