My Hero,
I’ve had a couple days to sit a process my thoughts & as I reflect on our time together I fill up with extreme sadness and gratitude. I’m so thankful you were my Grandpa. I can’t believe you are no longer here & it’s hard to put into words how much I miss you.
You were not just my grandpa, but my best friend, my biggest supporter, and someone who always knew how to make me laugh & smile. You taught me so much about life – how to be a hard worker, to keep going even when things are tough, and to find joy in the little things. I think about all the stories you shared, the times down the shore we had, and how you supported me at every basketball game throughout my life.
I hope you know how much you meant to me, and how much I will cherish every moment we shared. I’ll continue to live my life in a way that will make you proud. I hope you’re somewhere peaceful, watching over me.
