Partners Make Pathways Possible: Waynesville Housing Authority

Shelter is not the finish line.

At Haywood Pathways Center, our goal is not only to provide a safe place for someone to sleep tonight. Our goal is to help residents move toward long-term stability.

That means housing.

For many of our residents, market-rate rent is simply not realistic. Many are elderly, disabled, living on a fixed income, or rebuilding after long periods of instability. When someone receives $900 a month in disability income, a $1,500 monthly rental is not an option.

That is why partners like Waynesville Housing Authority matter.

Waynesville Housing Authority is a key partner in helping create a path forward after shelter. For many residents, it serves as a primary exit location from our programs and a critical bridge from crisis toward stable housing.

We recognize the role they play in this work.

Because Haywood Pathways Center cannot do it alone.

It takes shelter.
It takes case management.
It takes affordable housing.
It takes partners willing to be part of the next step.

We are grateful for Waynesville Housing Authority and their role in helping our residents find somewhere to go after Pathways.
