9/11/01 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ I will never forget this day.
Mrs. Johnson’s 5th grade class at Ann Whitney Elementary in Hamilton, Tx. If you know Mrs. Johnson, you know she is a bit theatrical and loud, so it wasn’t new for you to come into class and something loud happening, but I remember walking in from PE class and she actually being very quiet, which, knowing her personally outside of the classroom and being her student, I instantly knew this was different. Even though it would be years for me to understand the depth of what exactly happened that day, I have always been grateful that it was her class and her face that I got to examine watching the TV, as it has forever been embedded in my mind how serious the situation was. It has never mattered to me politically who was in charge but only how lucky I am to be an AMERICAN and live in such an amazing country that withstands no matter who attacks.
