Last, but certainly not least, meet Leila Golden-May! 👋

Leila holds a master’s degree in speech pathology and spent 26 years working in Azle ISD before retiring in 2024. She and Jeremy are parents to twin boys, Adam and Austin, who are juniors in college at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and Tarleton State University in Stephenville.

Creating The Village at Golden Oaks was the trio’s first project together, but from the beginning, the goal was about much more than developing property.

Eric, Jeremy and Leila wanted to create the kind of retirement community they would choose for their own family and friends — and eventually themselves.

That’s also why their involvement isn't ending now that the cottages are being built. Unlike a typical development created to be sold, The Village was built for the long haul. They plan to remain personally involved in managing, improving and growing the community for many years to come.
