Lydia may be home sick today, but apparently the Karen and Lydia creative department never closes. 😂
Here’s what caught our attention in this week’s Asheville area market:
🏡 Mortgage rates jumped to 6.95%, making updated payment calculations especially important for buyers.
🏙️ The proposed 203 unit Coxe Avenue affordable housing project has a $15 million funding gap, so it should not be counted as guaranteed incoming inventory.
🌳 Buncombe County is moving forward with master planning for a future 342 acre public park at Deaverview Mountain.
🚶 Swannanoa received $786,000 for sidewalk improvements supporting continued community recovery.
The takeaway? Real estate decisions should be based on what is funded, approved and happening now, not simply what has been proposed.
If you’re wondering how current rates or local developments could affect your purchase, sale or property value, let’s talk.
