Training started with the next generation. Seth helped set his first property corner today for a Lot Addition project. He was a big help carrying around the stake bag and painting up the rebar and stakes. He learned about surveying technology and how he can apply his math skills in real world situations with measurements. He also learned the value of land surveying and how it helps the public. Next up will be the real fun part.....going on a treasure hunt for property corners deep in the woods set from previous surveyors over 100 years ago.

I was out surveying tonight looking for a property corner and found these guys instead. When I popped over the fallen tree momma bear took off and scared the daylights out of me. I snapped these pics of the three cubs in their den before momma bear came back. Never a dull moment when you are surveying the world.
