The dough is layered with (French) butter, rolled and folded several times in succession, then rolled into a thin sheet, in a technique ๐จโ๐ณ called laminating. The process results in a layered, flaky texture, similar to a puff pastry.
Insert Valrhona chocolate ๐ซ and voila ๐ you now have yourself a traditional French chocolate croissant ๐ฅ
