🏡 REAL ESTATE TIP | INTEREST RATES ARE UP
Mortgage rates have climbed again, and if you’re thinking about buying or selling, you may be wondering:
What does that actually mean for me?
For BUYERS:
Higher rates can mean a higher monthly payment and may change how much home you comfortably qualify for.
But that doesn’t automatically mean you should put your home search on hold.
✔️ Talk with a lender BEFORE you start shopping
✔️ Know your comfortable monthly payment, not just your maximum approval
✔️ Ask about different loan programs and available options
✔️ Shop lenders and compare rates and fees
✔️ Remember that less buyer competition can sometimes create more room for negotiation
For SELLERS:
Higher rates can affect your buyers, too.
When borrowing costs increase, some buyers may adjust their price range or become more selective. That makes pricing your home correctly from the beginning even more important.
The biggest tip?
👉 Don’t try to time the market perfectly.
Interest rates change. Home prices change. Inventory changes.
Your decision to buy or sell should be based on YOUR finances, YOUR needs and YOUR goals.
If buying or selling a home is on your radar, let’s talk about what today’s market could mean for you.
