Field Day Friday: A Community Spotlight. This holiday season give yourself a treat and visit Brenners' Children's Shop in Norwood, MA to step back in time. A legend in the community, Brenner's has been clothing kids from all over suburban Boston for almost a half of a century. They are a local landmark. The business was purchased. for $200.00 back in the late 1970's and has been run by a husband and wife team until last September when Aron Greenfield at 96, a Holocaust survivor, left this world on Rosh Hashanah 2022. HIs wife, Martha, is carrying on both in her personal life and the store they both so loved. Closing on December 24 of this year, do yourself a favor, go visit. Honor Martha with tales of your childhood and the clothing you may have worn from their shop. Give homage to her beloved husband, Aron, whose spirit is felt everywhere in the store. Pay respect to those, like Aron and Martha who not only survived unimaginable circumstances but thrived and lived to tell their astounding histories. You will not regret dropping by to say goodbye. What you learn from their stories will last you a lifetime and long outlive the 49 years of their business, Brenners, Norwood. # Holocaust
