Most people know about Florida’s Homestead Exemption, but it’s not the only property-tax break that may be available.

Depending on your circumstances, you may also qualify for additional exemptions if you’re 65+, a veteran, disabled, a surviving spouse, a first responder, or if you’ve added living quarters for a parent or grandparent age 62+.

These are easy to overlook, but they can make a meaningful difference - and they’re exactly the kind of information I want my clients to have long after we have left the closing table. ❤️

Eligibility varies, so check with the PBC Property Appraiser to see what may apply to you.
