Remember that time I showed my design to a pool builder and they told me. “I don’t like that.” “If you are going to do a rectangular pool you need a rectangular or square spa.” “The lines should match.” “Everyone is doing modern pools now.”

It’s so laughable. See true designers know design is anything you want it to be! It is constantly evolving and changing. They also know trends don’t last. That is why they are called trends. You can also mix and match shapes and balance them out with landscape and accent pieces. True artist become great by stepping outside of the box not doing what everyone else is doing.

Coping getting there on this pool project! I had to share this silver travertine! I’m obsessed! Ivory is a go to travertine choice here in South Florida. It’s beautiful and light for the perfect beach vibes but don’t doubt the Silver! It is just as bright in the sunlight with a perfect mixture of both worlds. Creamy ivory shades + Grays! A perfect blend for transitioning different outdoor style trends.

It’s never to late to introduce yourself! 🖤 As a kid I would always draw buildings. When I was in 4th grade I was sitting in an office while my Dad was in a union meeting drawing as usual when another wife of a union guy said, “you should be an architect! You’re so talented!” That is where my obsession began! Remember, what you say can impact someone’s whole life! Even a little child. I went on to go to school for architectural engineering but God had some other paths for me to go through first before I got to be back on this road. So here I am! This pool is many years in the making. I remember when I first walked in my home as a real estate agent and knew it was my future. Sold! 😂 I knew instantly this yard was going to have my dream pool/tropical oasis one day. Even if it took 3 years! Designing is such a trial and error process. It can make your head spin for sure. Laying things out makes such a huge difference. Seeing the whole picture really helps with picking items to meet your style goals.

Hello February!

Am I the only one thinking summer is just around the corner? I know I know we have summer year-round in Florida. However, it's been a little too cold here in South Florida the past week. This is the month I realize in just a blink the kids will be out of school for summer break and I need to finish organizing their rooms!
