Downtown Wenatchee's Numerica Performing Arts Center on North Wenatchee Avenue has a full slate of shows over the coming weeks, including comedian T.J. Miller's Black Box Comedy show on Thursday, September 24, the Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra's "The Gothard Sisters: Moment in Time" on Saturday, October 3, and The Elvis Experience tribute show on Friday, October 9. Wenatchee is continuing to add new housing as the city grows. The City of Wenatchee expects approximately 250 to 300 new housing units to be completed during 2026, with a similar number anticipated in 2027. New apartments, residential developments and other housing projects are continuing to change neighborhoods throughout Wenatchee and the surrounding urban growth area.

Drivers in East Wenatchee are navigating a major traffic shift this month as Douglas County begins a nearly year-long roundabout project at the intersection of Grant Road and Nile Avenue, a key connector for commuters heading to Pangborn Airport and the surrounding industrial and farming areas. Since construction started September 8, 2026, Grant Road has been reduced to one lane in each direction with a 20 mph work zone, and South Nile Avenue is closed to through traffic at Grant Road through roughly October 16, with the full federally funded, Selland Construction-built project continuing into early summer 2027. Anyone commuting through East Wenatchee, driving to the airport, or searching for current Grant Road traffic updates should plan for delays and detours in the months ahead.
